Post Outing #4 - Xmas Bling Bling Photography Outing

This event was indeed a fun and bling shoot!.. everyone got to meet up and have their dinner at swensen before proceeding on the road..

Above photo was taken before the shoot begins!. shooting the light ups all the way from dhoby gaut till orchard.. the place was crowded with alot of other people be it with cameras too or just some families doing their xmas shopping!.. at one point of time.. people may even thought we were some flash mob as all of us were freeze and posing with our cameras outside a shop where patrick took a very cool photo of the rest of us with the very cool effect..

The shoot ends when we reached orchard ION where everyone exchanged prezzies!!.. All were given a lil pack of chocos and candies by SNAPKB as a token of appreciation to attend this xmas outing.. Merry Christmas everyone! HO HO HO!

- equipments that can take pics with. no restrictions.
- open to all
- Bring a unisex gift of price range $5-$10 for gift exchange! (buy one during the shoot also can!)
- limit to 20pax, if in the event of more than 20 we shall see how.. please indicate if you joining for dinner as there might be a prob for dinner venue.. at most we seat along the open space and picnic! whee

Post Outing #3.2 - Ubin Photography Outing

On the 20th Sept, the team head out for photo shoot during the workplan cum retreat of the kbyec. We were suppose to go ubin on 19 but due to rain, we decided to head to T3 instead. Everyone were treated to a free game on the F1 stimulator machine as there were some road show going on at T3 for the upcoming F1 race..

Everyone board the boat that ferry us to ubin.. and thats when the shoot begins!.. we shoot plants, water, animals, cyclist.. etc etc.. some got tired and even slept the few minutes away while waiting the rest having their water breaks!

Post Event #5 - Kebun Baru Wellness Carnival

The event kicked off with some sporty events at the market place as well as the Orchestra performance by our Kebun Baru Chinese Orchestra. The participants head out for their mass walk a jog.. Photographers were seen everywhere!! Participants were treated a can of JiaJia Liang Teh and Old Chang Kee Curry Puff. *Yum Yum*.. The event also have various booths put up for the participants to patronize.



Together with the Kebun Baru Wellness Carnival, the Kebun Baru YEC hosted Youth Delegates from Vietnam!! We had cultural exchange.. presentations, performances, gift exchange etc.. Most importantly, we brought for each other FRIENDSHIPS.. =)

Post Event #4 - Kebun Baru YEC Biennial General Meeting

On the 18 of July, the team KB YEC was spotted at AMK HUB Cathay Cineplex as early as 7.45am.. before that, some were at Mac having their breakfast while some were preparing their stuff at the cinema level..

The meeting kicked off by Emcee Edwin.. introducing the procedures.. and then the meeting started and chaired by Olivia the Vice Chairmen, with Silin the Asst General Secretary and Conny the Treasurer. The committee dissolved and Presiding Chairman Fook Seng took over the meeting. New term candidates were introduced as well as the pledge taking was lead by Eunice Olsen.

The meeting then proceeds with the presentation of the plaques to the previous term members and later kicks off with the long waited moie screening "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince"...

Post Event #3 - Kebun Baru Mass Swim 2009

A Swim Event! was held at Yio Chu Kang Swimming Complex on Saturday, 30th May 2009.

It started off with team relay which is the 20laps challenge for the boys then follow by the girls. It later stopped for a short lunch break then proceeded for the individual mass swim challenge. Unfortunately, the swim stopped halfway as the rain pours..

While waiting, our GOH - Mr Inderjit Singh arrived for the event.. and we proceeded to the team relay event prize presentation. All participants and spectators as well as volunteers were cheering and clapping for the prize winners. The swim was then resumed after the presentation. Swimmers whom participated in the mass swim also have a cruelsome taste of playing the RISK TAKER game.. yea` we hope you had a great fun of risk that day!

Last but not least, thank you for making this event a POSSIBLE!

Post Event #2 - Kebun Baru Annual Road Run 5KM

Ready..Set...GO!!!!`

Race on the 24th May at 8.12am. We received participation from various schools team like.. Raffles JC, as well as our regular annual runners and also the M.R.'s..

This event was kicked off with exercises, martial arts demo, etc..and the event ended off successfully with prize presentation to the winners of the individual categories and lucky draw!

KuDos! To our volunteers who were there to assist the smooth RUNNING of this event. Everyone must have a GREAT DAY of sweating out the excess water! ah-ha!

Attended the PAYM Policy Forum - Tertiary Education - Where do we go from here? on the 16 May 2009. GOH was Dr Lam and there were 2 more guest to the panel one from UniSIM and another one is a Human Resource Director. SnapKB was tasked to do photography for that day.

The number of pax whom turn up for this event was good!.. hopefully, everyone who were there that day did gain something from this forum. We hope to see everyone again soon! for the upcoming paym policy forum!

Post Event #1 - Bag O' Sunshine 4

Our first official event. KBCCYEC - Bag O' Sunshine 4.

On the 21st March, Kebun Baru Youth Executive Committee Members (KBCC YEC) together with staff/ volunteer of Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre (AMK FSC) brought families out to Labrador Park for a picnic session!

Children were seen queuing up for the balloons which was crafted by the yec members.. while some were playing wih their scooter and frisbee... while their parents sat at the sheltered are for a chit chat session with themselves/ other families.. after the fun times, all were treated with all time favourites - the McDonalds Fish Fillet/ McChicken burgers!.. together with the apple pies and the icy coca cola!

Then we all had a group photo shoot (shown above) before boarding the bus back to AMKFSC. Hope everyone had a great time that day! ;)

Post Outing #2 - Batam Photo Shoot

We came back home safely!

This outing kicks off with a total of 5 pax. We have Patrick, Daphne, Wei Jie, Kat and Shir Lee. The 5 of us meet up at Habour Front Centre, 8.30am. Hoping to catch the earliest boat over to batam but the boat was not available for boarding anymore.. end up, we bought the next earliest ticket.

We had breakfast at McDonalds. Headed to ATM to cash out more $$. And headed to the check in gantry. In a few more minutes, the boat departed SG. We were all surrounded by SMOKE. YES. the smokers on board.. it was uneasy..

After reaching Batam, we headed to Hypermall. checkout the shuttle bus details as well as having our lunch at A&W (bet you will miss it, there is none in SG) later on, hop onto the bus and went round the batam route.. we stopped at Tagoya Hotel and noticed that there isnt much to start our photography thingy. so we walked around that area and headed to their Tagoya Mall. (asked for directions on how to go to the nearest Temple)

We were transported to the TUA PEK GONG TEMPLE within 10mins for 40000rph. haa. then all of us started off taking our photos at that area till everyone finished off with their last shot then we cab back to batam centre to purchase our back to sg ticket. we were then dispersed off for around 20mins for some free and easy time for shopping..

Overall the trip was not bad. Hope everyone had fun as we didnt know each other quite well. Anyhow, theres room for improvement!! (ps: daphne and shirlee somehow busy shopping and had remembered the wrong gathering time so result in missing the boat and end up returning to sg on the next available boat lols!)
